Check the facts is a tool that we use to target those pesky thoughts that bully us & keep uncomfortable emotions around longer than they need to be. This skill is both a cognitive exercise (making sure you have all the info) that can reduce our emotionality all on it's own & it helps us decide whether we should change or reduce our emotions with the many skills to come OR tolerate, move toward, & problem-solve our emotions (with other emotion regulation skills, mindfulness, or radical acceptance). Come check the facts with us!
