What is "Skills for Resiliency in Parenthood"?
"Skills for Resiliency in Parenthood" is a comprehensive 8-week course aimed at providing parents and caregivers with the tools and strategies needed to thrive amidst the rollercoaster ride of parenthood. Led by experienced mental health professionals, this group offers a safe and supportive space to explore mindfulness, enhance emotion regulation skills, and cultivate deeper connections with your family.
Group Details:
- When: Every Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 PM
- Dates: July 17, 2024, to September 4, 2024
- Where: Virtual via Zoom
- Cost: $360 (includes phone coaching access)
- Materials: Free electronic workbooks will be provided with the option to purchase hard copies
Who Should Join?
This group is ideal for parents or caregivers living in MN who experience overwhelm, burnout, emotional reactivity, or feel like they are on autopilot for most of the day. Whether you're a new parent navigating the challenges of sleepless nights or a seasoned caregiver juggling the demands of multiple children, this group welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and orientations to participate.
What to Expect:
"Skills for Resiliency in Parenthood" is a behavioral skills-based group. Each week, we'll begin with a brief mindfulness exercise to ground ourselves in the present moment. We'll then dive into learning a new skill designed to enhance your ability to regulate emotions, manage stress, and strengthen connections with your loved ones. Through interactive discussions, experiential exercises, and collaborative goal-setting, you'll have the opportunity to practice these skills and apply them to your everyday life.
Additional Support:
In addition to weekly group sessions, participants will have access to phone coaching during the week to help generalize skills to their everyday life. This personalized support ensures that you have the guidance and encouragement you need to navigate the challenges of parenthood with confidence and resilience.
