1:1 DBT Skills Training
Skills for self-awareness, emotional resiliency, & connection.
Service Description
Individualized skills training for one person that covers four modules: Mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, & interpersonal effectiveness. Sessions are 45-50 minutes, once per week. Duration of skills training is typically six-months long, which allows for coverage of all four skills modules. However, other durations can be discussed as-needed per client needs. Additionally, clients have the option to sign up for another round or repeat certain modules as needed. Each session includes the following: Opening mindfulness activity (5 minutes), homework review (15 minutes), interactive didactic session (20 minutes), and introduction to the next week's homework assignment (5 minutes). Time can be budgeted for additional questions and clarifications as necessary.
